In 2002, I made what I thought was the best decision for the safety of my horses. This decision involved completely fencing my ranch in high tinsel electric fence. It was a great fence for the most part, consisting of two hot wires separated by one ground wire.
As long as all the horses “knew” the fence was electrified and their anxiety levels were low, this fence worked very effectively.
However, as we all know, when it comes to horses and fencing, wrecks can often occur. Unfortunately, even with what we thought was the safest most effective type of fencing for our property, we experienced our fair share of wrecks, some of which were nearly fatal and very expensive.
I knew I needed to do something different with my fences, but I didn’t know what to do, nor what product would prevent these wrecks from occurring. Every other option was just as dangerous or merely too expensive for the 160 acre span of our property.
While at the NILE stock show in Billings, MT, in 2009, I met one of the vendors from Oregon, selling a fence product called Bayco Finish Line Fence. Within two minutes of hearing him talk of this new product, I knew I had found the answer to my fencing dilemma.
After some lengthy discussion with this gentleman, I learned that there was not a dealer for this great product in Montana. I jumped at the opportunity to become of a dealer of Bayco Finish Line Fence.
Needless to say, my nice high tinsel is gone and replaced by Bayco Finish Line Fence. We are so confident in this product, that we have built our stud pens and other pastures on our property with it. We have had horses and foals hit this wire at high rates of speed and walk away completely unscathed.
Bayco Finish Line Fence is a very attractive fence, very easy to install, and the absolute safest horse fence I’ve ever seen.
If you care about the well being of your horse(s), then I highly encourage the installment of Bayco Finish Line Fence on your farm or ranch. www.dmafencing.com
