Amber has patterned all the horses she competes on and hauls. She invests a great deal of time and training into developing her horses. Amber's current line-up consist of a Dr Nick Bar daughter (aka "Miss" and a 2008 gelding (aka "Bodee") sired by Toro The Blurr. Her newest project is a 2009 Toro daughter, TM Frosted Blurr. Amber is a huge asset to O'Donnell Quarter Horses in her talents as a barrel jockey.

"We have been very blessed to have Dr Nicks Miss Bully in our program. Dr Nicks Miss Bully has really come on strong for Amber and is a well recognized barrel horse throughout MT. We can't wait to see what Amber and her up and coming futurity colts will accomplish together, as well!" says Cody.

Cody has invested his education into the growth and efficiency of the family breeding operation. As a graduate of Montana State University in Bozeman, MT, Cody majored in Animal Science with an emphasis on Equine Science. Cody specializes in the breeding aspect of his family's operation, along with the training and foundation of the colts that O'Donnell Quarter Horses produce. He spends a great deal of time researching Quarter Horse bloodlines, particularly those best suited for barrel racing.

"Horse pedigrees never cease to amaze me. I have found a great deal of truth in the pedigree of a horse and honestly believe it aides in taking a lot of guess work out of what a horse may or may not become, as well as measuring its marketing potential," says Cody.

In 2011-2012 Cody got the opportunity to work for world renowned barrel horse trainer and futurity superstar, Kassie Mowr, of Dublin, TX. He got to shadow her career, firsthand, traveling to several barrel futurities and barrel races across the United States.

"I have been very fortunate and blessed to have been able to do my college credited internship with the successful barrel racing breeding program, JB Quarter Horses, out of Refugio, TX. Not only did I learn a wealth of repro experience, but was given the opportunity to be exposed to several facets of the barrel racing industry. I can't thank Dee Braman enough for setting me up with the opportunity to work for Kassie!" says Cody. ...read more...
