TM Frosted Sunnora2008 Chestnut MareAQHA #5131259  "Nora" is a very compact muscular filly with a lot of chrome. This mare has a very soft feel on the end of a lead rope and has a very kind and gentle nature. She is double bred Sun Frost, complemented with lots of speed. Sun Frost barrel horses performed exceeding well at the 2009 NFR. We couldn't be happier with our first foal out of Frenchmans Sonora. Frenchmans Sonora was used as a roping horse prior to becoming a broodmare. The maternal grand dam to this filly was a pro barrel horse that ran in SD. This filly is eligible for the 5-State Barrel Futurity. We plan to campaign her as a barrel horse, if we don't sell her before she is of futurity age. She will make a phenomenal broodmare when she is done winning checks.

Printers Prestige2001 Gray Mare "Promise" belongs to our son, Cody. He trained her himself. We have owned this mare since she was a yearling and Cody has done just about everything with her. As a seven year old, she was becoming a serious contender in the barrel arena. However, a lameness issue took this mare out of commission for a year thereafter. Needless to say, Promise was put on the back burner, while we were training our colts and hauling our stallion, Toro The Blurr. This mare is currently sound and we plan on getting her back on barrels again. She is a very kind mare and a definite favorite at the ranch. She is not mare-ish in anyway, whatsoever. This mare has a ton of speed and a big heart. She needs a job. The only reason Cody has this mare on the market is because he feels she deserves to be used to her full potential and we would like to put more of our time and energy into promoting the colts out of our stallions. Frenchmans Sonora is a great well made and heavy boned broodmare with an incredible pedigree! Her sire, Frenchmans Guy, needs no introduction. The dam, Carvers Sonora Bar, was a pro barrel horse that ran in the Dakotas and a full sister to 2-time NFR qualifying barrel mare, Sonora Bar, ridden by Kay Van Voorhees. Sonora Bar also won the SDRA year-end title and took Renee Kost to the College National Finals Rodeo. Frenchmans Sonora is bred much like SX Frenchmans Peach, the Shearer's great futurity and derby mare and dam to Brian Wheeler's SX DR PEACHARITA; both are by Frenchmans Guy and their dams are sired by full brothers (Tough Bar and Tough Nigger).
