AQHA #4087307 "Miss" is owned by our daughter, Amber, and we couldn't be more proud to welcome such a fine mare into our program. Cody was very fortunate to find this mare for Amber, given how hard own daughters of the great Dr Nick Bar are to come by. Dr Nick Bar is not only the sire of Lindsay Sears' great barrel mare, Sugar Moon Express (aka "Martha"), but was an NFR qualifier, himself! The maternal line on this mare is second to none. Bully Bullion is one of the leading maternal lines in the barrel racing industry. Race For Cash was a proven racing son of Dash For Cash and Thundering Heart was a AAA daughter of Jet Of Honor. Miss was started under saddle as a 2 yr old with intentions of becoming a barrel horse. However, due to unfortunate circumstances, she was never given the opportunity to prove her talents in the barrel arena.
We covered Miss in the late spring, but since she didn't settle, we opted to start riding her again. Much to our surprise, given she had over 5 years off, she rode out like a dream. Amber began competing on this mare last fall and they have been riding tough ever since. Amber and Miss are really starting to become a team and we look forward to watching what these two will accomplish together in the coming years. Look out, Dr Nicks Miss Bully is running barrels again!
Given how well this mare is riding and her age, we have opted to put her broodmare career on hold and are looking into embryo transfer. This mare will make an exceptional future outcross on our stallions.
