Toro The Blurr, is an incredible young stallion backed by a family of industry leaders! Toro is a 2002 bay stallion and currently stands 15.3 hh and weighs 1250 lbs.

He is the total package with disposition, looks, size, speed, and an impressive proven pedigree. Toro’s pedigree is loaded with as many “proven” speed horses as you’ll find anywhere. His sire, Jet Toro (SI 104 AAA) is by Easy Jet (SI 100 AAA). Jet Toro (deceased) was not only a barrel and race horse sire, but the sire of the 2004 heading horse of the year. Jet Toro was also a full brother to Easy Six and Easy Toro. Both are sires of several NFR horses and futurity champions. Toro is the youngest own son of Jet Toro standing at stud today.

Toro’s dam, Credit Card Blurr (SI 83 AA) is an own daughter of the legendary speed horse sire Murrtheblurr (TB) and a great grand daughter of the immortal Dash For Cash (SI 114 AAA) and Game Plan (SI 95 AAA x Easy Jet). Credit Card Blurr is a full sister in blood to Blurr For Cash (SI 96) and Cee The Blurr (SI 110, $128, 851 LTE). Murrtheblurr is a popular line, especially given its success when crossed on Dash Ta Fame. However, Toro is also proof that Murrtheblurr mares cross well on Easy Jet stallions. Toro has a unique and proven pedigree that really sets him apart from a lot of the leading barrel horse stallions in the industry. You won’t find many young stallions bred like Toro. We are very confident in this young stallion and look forward to seeing how much more established as a sire he becomes in the future.

We couldn’t be any happier with Toro’s performance and athleticism. I broke Toro, myself, as a two year old and was very impressed with how fast he took to riding. As a three year old up until his four year old year, Toro was in barrel training under a local pro barrel racer and personal friend of my family’s, Lori Dunagan of Whitehall, MT. We have been riding him and hauling him a lot ever since. His arena performance is becoming stronger and stronger with each run. Winning his first saddle in 2007, his five-year-old year, was a definite highlight. In 2008, our son, Cody, rode Toro in some O-Mok-See events at both the local and national level. However, as competitive and promising as his O-Mok-See career was, we felt he excelled more in the barrel arena. Toro earned his first AQHA points in barrels (competing in only 1 AQHA show) during the beginning of 2009, while in New Mexico with Cody.

During the summer of 2009, Toro ran in the BBI barrel races and in some NRA rodeos with our daughter, Amber. Toro and Amber really hit it off well together, taking home some 1-d checks and starting to branch from the jackpot arena to the rodeo arena. We believe he carries the consistency and heart to be a true champion and sire of champions.

Outside of the barrel arena, Toro is a solid stallion that we use for moving cattle and covering country. He has such an incredible mind, that we often pony colts and mares off of him. Even during the peak of breeding season, we haul him and he acts just like a gelding. There isn’t much this boy won’t do. He has such a smooth gait and true willingness to please. Something that has amazed us is, as intently speed bred as Toro is; he also has shown a real interest in cattle. At neighborhood ropings, brandings, and cattle gatherings; Toro is all business when cattle are involved.

Toro’s first colts hit the ground in 2006. They are showing all of Toro's great attributes. We are so impressed with his 2008 son, TM Blurred Sixes (aka "Bodee"), that we have decided to retain him to promote as a futurity/rodeo horse and ultimately make him a poster child for his sire. Bodee has given us a lot of confidence in Toro as a sire, given this colt's natural athletic ability and eagerness to learn. "Bodee" has also made us very anxious to try this cross on additional Streakin Six mares with Toro, as he is living proof to us, that it will consistently produce great barrel prospects. We look forward to getting on more Toro colts in the future. As weanlings and yearlings, they have tons of eye appeal and fantastic dispositions. They exemplify exactly what we want to accomplish with our program. Check out our horses for sale page, as we have a nice offering of Toro The Blurr colts for sale out of own daughters of Frenchmans Guy, Streakin Six and Paddys Irish Whiskey.

If you are looking to get more size and speed along with a great disposition in your next foal, you may want to book a date with Toro for your good mare. Shipped semen is available, as well as multiple and/or proven mare discounts. We intend to nominate Toro into several futurity incentive programs in the coming years, once his colts are old enough to compete.
