WEAVERS DOC IMA POCO , aka "Rope" is a 1999 buckskin stallion with a unique copper coloring and four black feet. He is 91% National Foundation Quarter Horse, stands 15.1 hh, and weighs 1175 lbs.

Rope has “all” the qualities you want in a cow horse: conformation, pedigree, bone, stamina, speed, a fantastic disposition, and a love for working cattle.

He has a beautiful head and an incredible mind. His pedigree is intently influenced by the legendary quarter horses, Poco Bueno and Doc Bar, which is where all of his NATURAL cow sense comes from.

Rope is making his mark as a sire of very correct and trainable colts and is throwing a high percentage of buckskins and palominos. Rope’s colts have been sale toppers and stood in the winner’s circle at various shows. Rope, himself, has also captured champion halter stallion honors and get of sire recognition at numerous shows. Rope’s colts are finding homes in several states. Rope has offspring owned by the Kallermark Quarter Horse Ranch in Sweden. They are currently being promoted and shown in working cow horse events.

These are small victories for our program, but they are indicators to us, that our program is on the right track and we are crossing Rope on the right mares. Rope, comes from the great program of Stan and Nancy Weaver in Big Sandy, Montana. He was the talk of their 2000 production sale and ultimately the high selling horse. One look at him and his pedigree, it’s easy to understand why he drew the attention that he did.

As a three year old, we put Rope into training to be campaigned in the Montana Reined Cow Horse shows. Unfortunately, his reined cow horse career was brought to an abrupt ending when Rope sustained a severe leg injury just prior to his first show. After investing into the costly treatment of his injury, we opted not to continue campaigning him after he fully recovered. Rope is my main mount and I ride him at ranch sorting competitions. He draws a lot of attention wherever he goes.

If you would like Rope's characteristics in your next foal, you may want to consider breeding your favorite mare to him or purchasing a prospect out of him off our ranch.
